Originally called Wat Aranbarnpa, it was renamed after the Saimoon swamp area nearby. The temple features a large principal Buddha image believed to have been rescued from Burmese invasions. It is known for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful golden pagoda, and the presence of Thao Wessuwan statues offering protection and blessings.
