De Rat is a historic wind-powered sawmill and a landmark in IJlst, Friesland. Originally built in the Zaanstreek region in 1711, it was moved to IJlst in 1828. De Rat is a "stellingmolen" (post mill on a raised base) and remains one of the few wind-driven sawmills in full production today. It processes timber into beams and planks using traditional methods powered by the wind. The mill is a Rijksmonument and plays a crucial role in IJlst’s woodworking history.

- De Rat is open to the public on Saturdays (09:00–17:00); May–September also on Wednesday to Friday (12:00–17:00).
